This is our favourite time of the year!  The time when we get to experiment with scents and colours, formulations and new products.  We have a personal biased for new soaps.  After all, fresh handmade soaps started this entire company!

We are proud to announce the new soaps for 2012.  Some are so new that they are still sitting in the molds, curing for our Sudbury show! 

This year we have:

1.  Raspberry Cheesecake Key Lime Pie - Umm, yeah!  Rich, luscious swirls of raspberry mixed with the undeniable yum of graham cracker crust and sugar.  Makes us hungry just thinking of this, but it gets better.  Flip the soap and the other side is decadent Key Lime Pie!  We use 100% natural key lime essential oil for this side and all we can say is woweee!  Aside from the wonderful scent, this soap is made with wheatgerm oil.  Wheatgerm Carrier Oil is rich in natural vitamins A, B, D, and E, Proteins and Lecithin.  And that means it's awesome on the skin.  Fight dry, cracked, painful skin, keep it natural with fresh handmade bath and body and smell raspberry cheesecake and key lime pie all day.  Seriously, does it get better?

2.  Cinnamon Bun - We've been asked for years for a cinnamon soap.  This past One of a Kind show we made one just to test the general response.  We had about 500 bars to sell.  We sold 500 bars in two days!  Needless to say, how can you go wrong with a soap that smells like cinnamon, sugar and icing?  We add 100% natural cinnamon essential oil to give this soap that much loved cinnamon goodness.  This darling soap is made with virgin hemp seed oil, known for its emollient, rich, high content of Omega fatty acids.  This soap will moisturize the skin and leave a wonderful spicy cinnamon scent all day long!

3.  Creamsicle - It's back.  This time it doesn't go brown and look like an ice cream sandwich. After all these years, we finally have a fragrance oil that doesn't brown.  Now, if we could find the same for Vanilla!  The scent is improved.  The colour is marvelously bright orange.  And the soap is made with luxurious mango butter.  Mango Butter is rich in antioxidants and can be used to soften, smooth and moisturize rough dry skin. It has natural emollient properties, and is known to be useful for treating burns, stretch marks, scar reduction, wound healing and skin regeneration – even smoothing of wrinkles!

4.  Pink Ruby Grapefruit - This one is making us salivate as we type the blog.  Absolutely the most juicy, sweet, tart, citrus combination of ripe, fresh pink grapefruit, mixed with a tart, blood red ruby grapefruit.  We mix 100% natural pink grapefruit essential oil with a good quality PHTHALATE FREE fragrance oil.  Why?  Citrus essential oils on their own do not hold out well during the heat process of soapmaking.  That's why you rarely see orange, lemon, lime or grapefruit scented soaps.  If you do see them, they're usually mixed with other essential oils to help "carry" them in the soap.  You want a pink grapefruit scent that will last for the entire bar and we're just the soapmakers to give it to you!

5. Tea Tree Lemon Essential Oil - We absolutely love the strong, medicinal smell of tea tree essential oil.  In fact, we infuse cotton balls with tea tree and then put them in our cedar chests or drawers.  Keeps clothes smelling fresh, clean and comforting!  Unfortunately, most people cannot take the overpowering scent of this wonderful oil and as such it often gets overlooked.  We've decided to offer its cousin, Tea Tree Lemon Essential Oil as an alternative to those who love the properties of tea tree oil but not the scent.  Tea Tree Lemon Essential Oil has a strong citrusy scent similar to lemongrass or citronella essential oil with a definite presence of tea tree as an undertone.  It's a phenomenal aroma.  Excellent for men and women.

Our new site is almost done.  We're ironing out some issues with the Canada Post shipping module and then we should be good to go!  In the meantime, we've moved to Burlington!  We're now settled into the new space and manufacturing awesome soaps, luscious butters and a whole slew of new products has begun. 

We're opening the "old" site for now with just our soaps, butters and shampoos and as soon as the new site is up and running (approximately February 10, 2012), then we'll launch our new products as well.  The new site is linked to that little company called "Facebook" and so you can log on using your Facebook account and place an order directly from Facebook!  Don't worry.  We have extra secure servers working and so your information will never be compromised. 

Welcome to our 2012 season, everyone!  Looking forward to another year of phenomenal growth and success!

The site is now closed for XMAS shopping.  A new, exciting, reward point, database driven, wholesale monster of a site will be launched early in the new year.  We would like to take this time to look upon 2011 and thank everyone for the most successful year of our company's history.  We had not only more sales but more innovation and more positive feedback (the best part of this business) than ever before. 

We also had some major changes this year and those changes brought forth some very big opportunities.  We're looking forward to our new commercial space in Burlington.  We're looking forward to bigger wholesale contracts overseas, we're looking and we're looking forward to continuing making products that you all love to use and share with your friends.

Christmas is always busy at Skinlicious but this year is REMARKABLE!  Bear with us as we try our best to get your orders out in time.  We will have to postpone the mighty new site until January. 

We're active on Facebook, Twitter and Google+ and so it's hard, really hard, to actively keep up the blog here as well.  There's only so much of us to go around!

The new site is FINALLY being launched.  There are some very exciting times ahead.  For instance, if you sign up on the new site, you will get a sample sized bar of our marvellous soap!  Also the new site is based on a reward system and so if you show enough times with us, Like Us on Facebook, maybe follow us on twitter, well then you get more points to use on future purchases.  Look for the new site, which is just gettign it's final touches, in the next couple of days!

We will be launching a MASSIVE supply and wholesale section for our long term wholesale customers and for our novice new learning soapers.  We will have the best prices on wholesale products including, sodium hydroxide, fragrance oils, essential oils, butters (include shea butter that we import by the ship load directly from Ghana)!
